CEO of New Era Shipping and Logistics, Patrick Tetteh is the few who decide to start a business that does not correlate with their field of study.
Patrick has a master’s degree from GIMPA and another from Methodist University. According to him, he is not one to sit in an office behind a computer all day. He loves to do business.
Speaking on SVTV Africa, Patrick who also happens to be a pastor at Lighthouse Chapel International disclosed that he never applied for any job after completion.
“A man in my church was already in the business and I liked it. He trained me for four years and after I began my own thing,” Patrick told host, DJ Nyaami.
With 17 years of experience, Patrick believes honesty and transparency with clients have been his hallmark. He said “most of the jobs I get are referrals and recommendations. I work with a lot of big companies and honestly is always the best.”
The network engineer turned clearing agent added that his company imports from many countries and various goods, however, cars are the most cleared.
Patrick also mentioned the reason for exorbitant prices paid by clients as duty charges among other shipping related topics.
