52-year-old man, Abubakar Suleman carries load as a business to cater to three children in Tema.
In a chat with DJ Nyaami, Abubakar who migrated from Bole I’m the Northern region settled in Tema years ago for a better life. He stated that his children presently lived in a wooden structure at Tema Newtown with their mother.
“We are not together anymore. The children are with her but I take care of them. I’m trying to make some money so that they can come and stay with me,” he explained.
Reacting to whether migrating to Tema was a good idea, Abubakar said “if not for my leg I would have said yes. It’s been swollen for a while now and I’ve visited the hospital but I don’t have Ghs2000 for the surgery.
I want some herbs instead since I can’t afford the surgery because I’m afraid it may be amputated if I waste time.”
Mr Sulemana is pleading with Ghanaians to help him back on his feet. According to him, he’s unable to carry heavy loads which make him lose money.
