Late Bishop Bernard Nyarko’s brother has spoken out nearly 24 hours after the Kumawood star’s tragic death after a short illness.
Isaac Darko reached out to SVTV Africa to exclusively release the first public statement from the family after the demise of his brother at the Greater Regional hospital.
He said, “It is true, Bishop is dead. He died at the Greater Accra hospital around 5:30pm after a short illness. We are devastated by the loss of our brother; our hearts go out to everybody who contributed to his success especially his fans. God gives and He takes back – He knows best. Please continue to remember us in prayer especially our mother, who is completely shut down since the news came in.” Mr. Darko said.
Mr. Darko furthered that, funeral arrangements and burial service will be communicated in due time.
“The family is yet to sit and plan for the funeral. The funeral arrangements and burial service will be communicated to you all in due time. For time being, I’m grateful to you all for your prayers, the numerous calls and texts. God bless you all.”
He urged the media and the general public to desist from spreading rumours on whom and what killed his brother. He pleads with the public to respect the privacy of the family in this difficult time.
Bishop Bernard Nyarko was a celebrated Kumawood actor and a Pastor. He died after battling sickness for a while.
