Entrepreneur and Author, Kwabena Obeng Darko stated that Ghana’s education turns the kids into slaves and makes them dependent on others instead of becoming entrepreneurs.
In a chat with SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, Obeng Darko expressed a critical view on the current educational system, arguing that the way youth are trained and educated often leads to a mindset of dependence rather than empowerment.
He emphasized that this kind of training transforms young individuals into “slaves” of the job market, holding back their ability to think innovatively or pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. Instead of making the youth self-reliant and creative, the system maintains a cycle where young people are conditioned to rely on others for their livelihoods.
Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of financial literacy, indicating that without a solid understanding of financial principles and practices, individuals are likely to struggle and ultimately fail in their personal and professional lives.
In his view, acquiring financial knowledge is essential for success, enabling individuals to take control of their economic futures and make informed decisions that foster independence and growth.
