Prince Osei-Tutu, co-founder of Taptap Send, a prominent money transfer application, has announced that the company has not ceased its operations in Ghana as reports indicated.
Speaking with SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, Mr Osei-Tutu stated that the Bank of Ghana has temporarily halted its operations within the country. This suspension comes as part of regulatory measures and is set to continue until December 8, when the bank plans to resume its services.
“Taptap Send has not shut down as people are speculating. We breached some regulations by the Bank of Ghana and the suspension is a sanction.”
