Canada-based Ghanaian Mavis stated that she was called a fool for rejecting a man’s proposal after arriving in Toronto.
In a Daily Hustle Worldwide interview, Mavis mentioned that she has been in Toronto, Canada for six months. Mavis shared that many foreign students are stranded in Toronto and some citizens take advantage of the situation.
“Many students are suffering here. Some so many international students are homeless in Toronto. Fortunately, I got a place to rent immediately, but it’s not the same for everyone.
People offer to host students in return for sexual favours. A Ghanaian man proposed love to me but I told him I was married. He offered to help me but when I refused, he called me a fool,” she narrated.
Moreover, Mavis added that older Ghanaian men propose to her and often tell her to forget about her marriage. She also spoke about the job opportunities in Canada and revealed how international students could get jobs easily in Toronto.
