Emmanuel Sekyere Jnr currently living in the UK shared how he was arrested on his way to work as one of the suspects in the shooting of the Asiwa Police Chief in the Bono East Region.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Emmanuel shared how he and a friend’s son (teenager) were arrested on their way to work at 4 AM as part of a robbery gang in 2018.
“When I saw the cars coming, I parked the tricycle I was riding for them to pass. Immediately they saw us, they stopped, arrested and threw us into the back of the truck. They didn’t allow us to talk and slapped me a few times.
One officer hit me with his gun and knocked me out. When I woke up, I was in the Edubiase Police cells naked with blood all over my body. They beat me up to Asiwa Police Station and eventually Bekwai Police Station.”
Emmanuel mentioned that the Police officers did not get his statement until noon. He added that after they found out they were innocent, (Emmanuel and teenager) Emmanuel paid GHS2000 to be released (Emmanuel and teenager).
