Owura, a Ghanaian based in Israel disclosed that he has been able to build a house and bought land within his three years of working in Israel.
Owura travelled to Israel as one of 200 Ghanaian Agriculture students in a program initiated by the Israeli government and stayed behind after the program ended. In an interview on SVTV AFRICA, Owura, however, highlighted his intention to return to Ghana to pursue agriculture as a full-time business venture.
“Some students returned to Ghana because the government promised to hand over the greenhouse to us to work with but they didn’t. The students had to return to Israel to work here. So, I don’t regret staying behind. I brought my wife here and we plan to return in a few years. We have built our house and bought another land.”
Speaking on job availability in Israel, Owura said, “There are more jobs than workers in Israel. You will find a job within minutes and we are paid well. It is the best place to hustle.”
Owura reiterated his plan to return to Ghana to pursue livestock farming. He believes agriculture is the best business venture in Ghana.
