Charles Aboagye, a US-based Ghanaian stated he plans of relocating to Ghana to raise his kids for them to know their roots and the learn values.
Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Charles mentioned that they may be Americans by birth but they are Ghanaians and must know their origin and values of their homecountry.
“Most Africans do not take their kids back home and assume they may not like it. My intention was never to stay abroad but it just happened that way. I will not forget where I came from because Ghana is my ancestral land.
Even if you become a US citizen, there is always Ghana in your passport because that’s where you come from. I want my kids to complete SHS and decide for themselves on where to stay next.”
Mr Aboagye also spoke about the discrimination among local Ghanaians and Ghanaians abroad. He added that amongst Ghanaians in the US, they discriminate among themselves.
