Young Ghanaian based in London UK Marcus stated that raising kids in the capital is tough revealing that gangs have attacked him several times.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Marcus indicated that these gang groups attacked him because they suspected him as a part of a rival gang group.
He added that despite the presence of gangs in London, it is possible to raise kids there. However, it would heavily depend on the parents and guardians.
“Joining a gang depends solely on who you associate with in college. That’s why many Ghanaian parents in London especially are overprotective. My father taught me these things and I understood because of the upbringing I had in Ghana.
The kids here find it cool to join a gang. They want people to fear them. Most of them are kids because the older ones have changed or are in prison. They’ve attacked me many times thinking I was a part of another gang. They almost stabbed me.” he told DJ Nyaami.
Marcus encouraged Ghanaian parents in the UK, especially London to pay attention to their kids as they can be easily influenced to join a gang.
