Germany-based Ghanaian Felicia Owusu has stated that it is not her duty to bring a man to Germany if she had a boyfriend living in Ghana.
In an SVTV Africa interview, Felicia mentioned that it is a risk that she will never take. The mother of two indicated that she would rather date a man living in Europe than Africa.
“Even the men are complaining about the women they brought from Ghana. It is not a woman’s job to bring a man from Ghana. It depends on the individual.
If you’ve found love in Ghana and want to bring them, that’s fine. I’d rather date a man here. It’s not my job to bring a man from Ghana to stay here. The men have the courage for that, not me.”
Miss Owusu has been in Germany for eight years now. Felicia spoke about life in Germany and advised Ghanaians who wish to travel abroad to learn a skill. According to her, it was easier to get her residency because of the skills she had.
“Having a skill helps a lot, even in Ghana. My sister got a salon job for me, and I was paid monthly. It was easier to get my documents. I didn’t have to go through the childbirth process,” she told DJ Nyaami.
