Germany-based Ghanaian Richard Oppong revealed that he had to let go of his duties as a pastor to mingle with others for a wife.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Richard disclosed that he migrated from Italy to Germany, but his work visa had expired. His friends in Germany advised him to do away with his ‘pastor duties’ if he wanted to stay in Germany.
“I went to clubs and discos because they said that was the only way to get a permit. I started smoking cigarettes and weed just to fit in. These were things I criticized in the beginning, but they became my lifestyle.
The German women need to know you’re like them to get closer to them. We had to survive in Germany. Eventually, I found someone, but living with a white woman was not easy. Some have it good, but they are not all perfect. It was stressful,” he said.
Mr Oppong mentioned that despite being married, to his ex-wife, she had the document process cancelled after three years. Richard had to leave Germany for Ghana but was permitted to stay because he had a permanent job.
