US-based Ghanaian, known on social media as Kido1Money, has recounted some of his criminal activities that ruined his record.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Eddie Frimpong, as he is privately known, revealed that the first time he was arrested was after he broke into two houses and stole three MacBooks, iPhones and other items with his friends at age 16.
Eddie was tried as a teenager and jailed for three weeks. It didn’t end there. Eddie disclosed that “I stole from every girl I slept with. Once I came to your house, I left with some items.
The first time I was arrested was for the MacBook case. I didn’t know it could be traced and brought them home. A day after the robbery, the police came to my house and arrested me.”
Eddie’s mother brought him to Ghana, hoping he’d change, but he did not. He returned to the US after seven months in Ghana and fell back into old habits.
“My friends and I robbed a house with guns and knives, but there were cameras. My friends were arrested first. I was facing 18 to 20 years, so I planned to flee the US but was arrested at the airport.
My mom paid $5000 for my bail and but I fled again. I’ve been jailed almost ten times, but they’re always short sentences, mostly two days. The longest I’ve been in jail was last year, which was for three months,” he said on SVTV AFRICA.
Moreover, Eddie expressed regret for his criminal past and added that he quit the robbery in 2015. He blamed his actions on immaturity and the desire for designer clothes and shoes.
