UK-based Ghanaian Queenphyll Nana Afua has stated that she terminated her pregnancy at a young age because she knew what she wanted in life and her boyfriend (ex) was not the guy he wanted to marry.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Queenphyll revealed that she had big dreams but knew the kind of man she wanted to settle with. Moreover, she was not financially stable to cater to a baby, and she also had to support her younger siblings.
“He might have wanted me to give the baby, but the child would have suffered more than I did if I kept the pregnancy. I regret it sometimes, but the abortion wouldn’t have worked if God wanted me to keep the baby.
He took care of me, but it was just small change. I had big dreams and knew the kind of man I wanted to settle with. He was not the one. I dated him for the support, just for play,” she said.
In response to whether she chose abortion because she knew he was her choice for marriage, Queenphyll said, “Something like that. I knew the kind of kids I wanted and the upbringing I wanted for them. It was a struggle with him, and I was the firstborn too. I wanted us to be better.”
Queenphyll started as a model and actress in Ghana before travelling abroad. Nana Afua disclosed that she often had ‘big’ men proposing to her and introduced her boyfriend to them as her brother.
