US-based Ghanaian Vera has stated that she would rather spend her money on rearing sheep than help people after a bitter experience.
In a chat on SVTV AFRICA with DJ Nyaami, Vera revealed that she permitted some people to stay in, but they destroyed her furniture and household items before leaving. Vera added that she had to buy new items including, a sofa, to furnish her living space again.
“They were not caretakers. I just gave the house to them to live in, but one of them did not clean the house throughout his stay.
After I left Ghana, I heard he brought in his wife and three kids to stay. For eight months, he slept on my air mattress, and left my sofa for his kids to urinate on it,” she noted.
According to Vera, the squatter threatened her when she confronted him. The 37-year-old said, “I’d rather rear sheep than spend my money on Ghanaians here or living in Ghana.”
