UK-based Ghanaian artiste Black Kat has stated that his hair is spiritual, adding that his energy level will reduce if he cuts it off.
Speaking on SVTV AFRICA, Black Kat stated that just like Samson in the Bible, his energy lies in his hair and will lose some of it once he cuts it off. He mentioned that he is not a Rastafarian, but his hair is spiritual.
“My hair is spiritual. It is my freedom, my idea and everything. I won’t die if I cut it off, but I’ll lose some energy. I’ll need some time to heal. It just happened. If you were in my head, you’d notice that it was meant to happen,” he told DJ Nyaami.
Speaking on life in the UK and how people associate with him, Black Kat disclosed that “it is normal. It’s not like how it used to be when people would call you a rascal. Times have changed, and there I nothing like self-confidence.”
Moreover, Black Kat told DJ Nyaami about the challenges in the music industry and how he deals with them. According to him, the Ghana Music Rights Organisation gave him GHS200 as royalties after years of being a member.
Black Kat is presently promoting his new single ’So Much Love,’ which features Kwabena Kwabena. The official video on YouTube has over 60,000 views. He is currently touring pubs and clubs as part of his brand promotion.
