France-based Ghanaian Returns to SVTV Africa’s “Daily Hustle Worldwide” to Share Her Love Story
Madam Lovi, a Ghanaian woman residing in France, made headlines during a previous interview on SVTV Africa’s “Daily Hustle Worldwide” with DJ Nyaami, where she vowed never to bring a man from Ghana to Europe. However, she has since had a change of heart.
In a recent interview, Madam Lovi shared how she unexpectedly met her husband Nino on TikTok. She revealed that a friend introduced her to the app for fun, and during one of her visits, she came across her future husband, who was hosting a live show involving games and gifts. Despite being new to the platform and unfamiliar with how it worked, she began joining his lives and requesting to be added. Eventually, he noticed her.
According to her,
“He saw me on camera and told his TikTok ‘daddy’ that he liked me.” Though he initially said he’d call her after the show, he never did—so she took the initiative to reach out first. That was the beginning of their journey.
Her husband later explained that he was hesitant to slide into women’s DMs due to how people gossip on TikTok. Instead, he preferred building connections through live interactions. They eventually built a bond and began chatting seriously. One thing led to another, and they fell in love.
It took a year and a half before they met in person. Madam Lovi traveled to Ghana, and her husband met her at the airport in Kumasi. From there, they went to his house, and things moved quickly.
“When you’re destined to be with someone, nothing can separate you,” she said.
Despite warnings from friends who feared the man would leave her once he got to Europe, she followed her heart. She was introduced to his family, and they approved of her. They spent three weeks together in Ghana, during which she got pregnant.
After that visit, her husband began the process to join her in France. It wasn’t easy—his visa was initially denied. He lost his passport and faced disappointment from agents. At one point, he even blocked Madam Lovi out of frustration. She had to call him with a different number to reconnect. Eventually, with the help of a reliable agent and a payment of about 16,000 GHC, he secured a visa.
He arrived in France while she was about two months pregnant. The couple now shares a baby girl. Although the first few months in France were tough—especially with finances and adjusting to life together—they remained committed. Madam Love even had to stop working for a while, which put extra pressure on the household. They’ve since moved from a single room to a chamber-and-hall apartment.
Reflecting on the journey, Madam Lovi said,
“I have no regrets. I took a risk by getting pregnant in Ghana and trusting my heart—and it was worth it.”
Her husband also added that though their relationship started with jokes on TikTok, he realized she was serious and had genuine feelings. Despite the challenges, they’re happy together and continue to build a life in France.
