Mr Obeng Darko, a Ghanaian author stated that the system in Ghana tends to prioritise the interests of foreign entities over those of its citizens.
This perception arises from various instances where opportunities and support seem more readily available to non-nationals, leaving local individuals feeling overlooked and undervalued.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Ghana with DJ Nyaami, Mr Obeng Darko pointed out that the current system is not merely ineffective but it actively undermines local businesses, leading to their failure rather than providing the support they need to thrive.
This systemic issue places undue burdens on entrepreneurs and organizations, ultimately contributing to a climate where growth and sustainability are increasingly challenging.
“There is something wrong with how we think as Ghanaians. We trust everything that comes from foreigners instead of our own. We’ve adopted many foreign practices that are destroying us. We need to change from them to thrive as a country,” he said.
