Eno Serwaa, a Ghanaian based in Italy warned her family in Ghana against calling her for money unless it was an emergency.
In a chat with SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami, Enoserwaa indicated that she was jobless for six years and depended on her husband for everything. As a result, she had to warn her family to avoid asking for money frequently.
“I became a housewife for six years when I joined my husband in Italy. I told my mom and siblings not to call me for money unless it was an emergency because I did not want to add that burden to my husbands’.
Eno stated that Italy faced a crisis, leading to layoffs that made it difficult for women to find jobs. Moreover, she had no skills to make money out of.
“My husband advised me to learn a skill before coming but I didn’t listen. I regretted it after I got here.
