Samuel Nyarko, a Ghanaian based in Italy disclosed that his travel buddy cut another’s stomach to retrieve money hidden in his anus.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa, Samuel narrated his travel journey crossing the Libyan desert. According to Samuel, two brothers were on the journey with him but unfortunately one of them died.
On many such journeys, travellers often pump money into their anus to avoid losing it to thieves in the desert. For Samuel’s friend, he lost his brother who had kept the money and to continue the journey, his only option was to cut him open.
“You can imagine looking into your dead brother’s face and cutting him to take out money. It was an eyesore but he did it amidst tears. I’ll never advise anyone to travel through Libya. I had forgotten about death because I was desperate.
I was in the Morroco desert for seven months and my family thought I was dead. At a point, we walked backwards to avoid Libyan police. We were arrested and deported twice,” he narrated.
