Henry Clarke, a Ghanaian based in the UAE disclosed that his best friend duped him and shared how he lost all his money to him.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Henry mentioned that he worked at the airport for 8 years before deciding to travel abroad for greener pastures. His close friend told him about a job in Bahrain and asked him to pay GHS18,000 for the process.
“My friend told me his boss liked me and wanted to help me with that Bahrain job. I believed him and cleared out GHS10,000 from my savings and gave it to him. He blamed Covid for everything but it was a scam.”
He was sceptical when his friend told him about a job in the UAE due to his past experiences. However, he paid Ghs10,000, and this time, it was real.
According to Henry, he was jobless due to the pandemic and could not pass up the opportunity. He currently works as a security guard in Dubai and shared some culture shocks and experiences gathered so far.
