UK-based Ghanaian Mr Amoah revealed numerous people had cautioned his wife against bringing him to the UK, voicing doubts about their relationship.
In an interview on Time with Mr. and Mrs., the couple shared SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami and the struggles they went through before and after Mrs Amoah moved to the UK. Mr Amoah stated that despite the naysayers, he completely trusted her judgment and commitment. Even his colleagues joined in.
They mocked him for his optimism and suggested that he should abandon hope, claiming she would never return to him once she settled in the UK.
In contrast, Mrs. Amoah expressed a strong conviction that there was no valid reason for her and her husband to consider divorce. She recounted how about four individuals had advised her that their marriage would falter if she brought him to the UK. These warnings only strengthened her resolve to support her husband.
Mrs. Amoah also emphasized the importance of unity in a marriage. She firmly believed that couples would struggle to find peace and harmony in their relationship if they allowed outside influences or third parties to interfere in their matters. Her thoughts underscored the significance of trust and mutual respect in a successful partnership.
