US-based Ghanaian Joseph revealed that he fled from Ghana to the US after his travel agent-brother duped people off GHS400,000 meant to process visa applications.
Speaking with SVTV AFRICA’s DJ Nyaami, Joseph mentioned that these people had paid him the money and had become the point of contact. As a result, he had to flee the country to work and pay.
“I had no plans of travelling to stay abroad but I had to go to avoid disgrace. The agent is my cousin and he is also a pastor. I trusted him with everything I had. Since I was the frontman for the transaction, I had no choice but to leave,” he narrated.
Joseph said he has paid over GHS200,000 and continues to pay. Joseph has been in the US for two years, married to an African American.
Speaking about living in America, Joseph mentioned how great an experience it has been and stated that he got a job within five days.
