Naa Tagoe, a Ghanaian based in the US disclosed that her marriage collapsed two months after her former mother-in-law joined them in the US.
In an interview with SVTV AFRICA’s DJ Nyaami, Naa indicated that she brought her mother-in-law to the US to assist with caring for her children but the situation took a dramatic turn.
Upon her arrival, the mother-in-law accused Naa of being a witch, which ultimately led to the breakdown of Naa’s marriage. She said, “We had our issues before her arrival but it got worse after she came.
My mother-in-law arrived in August and by October, we were divorced. She came with some herbal medicines claiming someone was causing a rift between my husband and me. Later, she said, those herbs were for me specifically because I was a witch.”
Naa and her husband got a divorce and left the house with his mother. Naa applied for her to be deported but fled to New York by train and she has not heard from her since.
