Germany-based Ghanaian Kobby stated that he earned more as a businessman in Ghana than as a worker in Germany and added that he will return to Ghana soon.
Kobby ran two businesses and lived comfortably but developed an interest in travelling to the US but never got a visa. In an interview with DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa, Kobby disclosed that his job in Germany pays less than his revenue as a business owner.
“I couldn’t get half of the lifestyle I enjoyed in Ghana. I had a house and bought cars. At a point, people thought I was into online fraud but I never did anything like that. The rumours were so much that I wasn’t comfortable there anymore. That was why I decided to travel abroad.”
Kobby has been in Germany for three months now. According to Kobby, he intended to stay for a few days but his friends convinced him to stay. However, after a week in Germany, “It felt like I had been here for 10 years. I haven’t got even 10% of the lifestyle I enjoyed in Ghana.”
“I gave up and wanted to report myself to the immigration to be deported. I don’t make as much as I earned in Ghana. I used to spend more in Ghana weekly than what I make here in Germany,” he said on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
