Canada-based Ghanaian Danny has stated that travelling abroad is a risk, and an immigrant is not guaranteed to make it.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Danny mentioned that he would never advise anyone against travelling abroad to seek greener pastures, however, immigrants must not be in a haste to travel.
He advised that individuals wishing to work or live abroad must have a plan before making the journey. Danny said, “It is a lie to say Canada is bad but you must prepare your mind before coming. Psyche yourself that it will take at least five years to integrate into the system.”
Danny revealed that many individuals on student visas in Canada are currently jobless and most have been unemployed for about a year. He advised others to search for jobs in Canada online before travelling out.
“Nothing here is better than Africa except their infrastructure and availability of jobs. Travelling abroad to seek greener pastures alone is a huge risk. Getting here doesn’t mean you’ll be successful. There is no guarantee that you will make it,” he said on SVTV Africa.
