Ghanaian female truck driver Esther mentioned she left her job at the hospital to join her husband in the truck-driving business.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Ghana, Esther indicated that she enjoyed driving and informed her husband about it who trained her to drive a tipper truck.
“My husband wanted to further my education but I was interested in driving. So, I told him to teach me to drive the truck and resigned from my job. It took about three to four months to learn how to drive it,” she said on SVTV Africa.
Esther worked as a pharmacy assistant in a hospital and quit to join her husband. She works as her husband’s spare driver now. According to Esther, many people appreciate her efforts and encourage her to continue the good work.
Esther added that she hopes to get her truck and is also ready to work for a truck owner.
