Issah Isaahak, a Ghanaian based in the US, shared his journey from Mexico to the US by road and revealed that he thought he had been sold off by his uncle.

In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Issah mentioned that his journey to the US was a lot easier than other immigrants. He travelled to Mexico by flight and made his way to the border with his uncle’s help.

“My uncle was based in Mexico, so he aided me in getting agents for the journey. He showed me a highway that was the road to the US but it was all lies. I had to pass through a big gutter to get to the wall. I wondered if my uncle had sold me off. I called him and he said I would not have come if he told the truth.”

After Issah arrived at the US border and was eventually released from camp, he disclosed that he wanted to return to Ghana but the stories he heard gave him hope.

“I would have regretted it if I rejected the opportunity to travel abroad. My journey to the US was easier. I met other Ghanaians who told me their stories and it gave me hope to stay,” he added.
