Ama Gold, a Ghanaian based in the UAE has stated that she has rescinded her decision to travel to the US by road because she is better off with her business in the United Arab Emirates.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide with DJ Nyaami, Ama Gold disclosed in a previous interview that she had paid an agent GHS50,000 to take her to Mexico where her journey to America would begin. However, the agent never made contact with her again.
With the money gone and her visa expired, Ama sought help and advice from her mom who supported her in renewing her work visa.
“I’m not concerned about that anymore. I’m doing better now. It is not necessary. Leaving the UAE was my only plan at the time, so I didn’t focus on the opportunities here. I haven’t even spoken to him again.
I don’t even know how I found the money to renew my visa and import Ghanaian products to the UAE. With my mother’s help, I was able to establish a business here,” she noted.
Besides selling Ghanaian products, Ama also cooks on order for Ghanaians in Dubai, saying, “There are challenges but it is working for me.”
