“The businessman had many commercial buildings in New York. So, he called me asking about a cleaner and I told him I’d do it. I just told him I’d start a cleaning company when he asked whether I had one. I formed it put fliers around the building and found a cleaner. In a year or two, he gave him all his buildings,” he said on SVTV AFRICA.

Eventually, Mr Asante expanded his business and took more jobs. He started the expansion with $24,000 a year and grew it to over $1,000,000 yearly. According to Mr Asante, he worked on big projects including government buildings, etc.

Soon, he established a job agency supplying nurses and doctors to hospitals. He stated that the agency grew exponentially with over $1m in revenue.

“Now I had two full-time jobs while working as a hospital administrator. So I resigned from my job to focus on the business. But I lost my connection with doctors after I quit the job, so I had to let go of the agency,” he added.

Currently, Mr Asante owns several businesses in the US including real estate, a restaurant, a shopping centre, etc.
