Yaa Bosuo, a Ghanaian residing in the UK, mentioned that she has not dated since her arrival because of the different dating scene in the UK.
Speaking with DJ Nyaami on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Yaa Bosuo shared some of the culture shocks she experienced during her seven months abroad. Yaa noted that, unlike in Ghana, where a man can approach a lady anywhere, it is nearly impossible in the UK.
“I’ve not experienced that yet. Everyone is busy with work and it seems no one has time for that. No one has approached me yet. Dating here is not like we know in Ghana. They have dating sites for that. Women have turned to men and we’ve all focused on making the money.”
According to Yaa Bosuo, paying rent and bills is the most important in the UK. She stated her commitment to working through illness and noted that she would have submitted requests for time off if she were in Ghana.
Yaa also shared some differences in systems and structures between Ghana and the UK.
