Francis Tandoh, brother of the missing Ghanaian lady in Nigeria Afiba Abigail Tandoh has disproved reports indicating that his sister has died.
Francis Tandoh, currently in Nigeria spoke to SVTV Africa’s DJ Nyaami and shared updates on his sister’s kidnapping. According to him, the Nigerian police halted investigations and have requested money for further investigations.
Some social media bloggers have reported Afiba’s body found with videos to support the claim, however, Mr Tandoh has refuted such assertions.
“The video circulating on social media is not my sister. She wore a wig to Nigeria and not braids. The lady in the video has braids on. That is not my sister. We’ve seen a video of my sister and her friend and they were alive. The claims are false. My sister is not dead. I’m still in Nigeria now waiting for some good news,” he said.
Moreover, Mr Tandoh added that the Ghana High Commission had neglected them and refused to help in the investigations. He said, “The Ghana embassy told us to find our way and watched us leave their premises after we arrived here. We consulted a Human Rights Activist to lead us to the Police Headquarters. As a Ghanaian in Nigeria, don’t think you’re safe from our embassy. They don’t care.”
