Joseph, a Ghanaian based in Saudi Arabia mentioned that hustling in Gulf countries involves strength and long hours revealing that he almost lost his life from the stress.
In a chat with DJ Nyaami, Joseph disclosed that about three Ghanaians working in Gulf countries died recently while on a vacation in Ghana.
“I work in a McDonald’s shop and the drinks and snacks are free. So, I ate unhealthy foods and stayed up late browsing instead of sleeping. I worked 14 hours a day and slept four hours.
I depended on energy drinks and coffee. I thought I was healthy until I visited the doctor. He told me that if I had come later, I would have died because my blood pressure was high,” he said.
Joseph had a laundry shop in Ghana and admitted that business was good, however, he needed money to expand the business. As a result, he left for Saudi Arabia in that regard.
Joseph added that he returned to Ghana but failed to invest in the business. He contacted a travel agent for a visa to Europe but was duped.
