Charlotte Manu, a Ghanaian based in Germany disclosed that her aunt threw her out of her house after hosting her for a while and advised her to find a man to impregnate her if she wants to stay in Germany.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Charlotte mentioned that she was advised to travel abroad but did not expect the challenges of integrating into a new environment. Charlotte lived in her aunt’s house but was thrown out shortly after.
“My cousin made it seem so easier to stay in Germany but it wasn’t so. My cousin had issues with our aunt and had been sacked from the house. She was living with her boyfriend when I arrived. So, it didn’t help my case. I stayed in my aunt’s house for a month and got a message from Ghana that my aunt wanted me out of her house.
I joined my cousin and her boyfriend in their one-room apartment. I had to sleep in the kitchen sometimes because I wanted to give them privacy.”
As a result, Charlotte’s aunt and other family members advised her to find a man if she had plans to stay in Germany. However, she could not go into a relationship with that purpose.
Charlotte eventually met a Ghanaian through her uncle who supported her with a rented apartment. They’ve been together for seven years now.
“I always ask myself how my life would have been without him. I’ve not met anyone like him till now. We’re not married yet but I like how we are now.
