UK-based Ghanaian Biney stated that he became homeless in the UK for a week despite having a home because of his stepmother.
Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Biney mentioned that his stepmother claimed she caught an unpleasant smell whenever he was around the house. However, Biney believes she wanted him out of the house.
“There is no way you’ll leave your host’s house in peace even if they are your parents. My dad was cool but it’s always the women. One thing I’ve learned here is that once you start working, your host will charge you for bills and I paid too but she thought it was too little.
She found a way for me to be frustrated and leave the house to experience life outside. I left the house because she claimed I had a bad smell. The mental stress I went through was too much. I even asked my work colleagues if it was true,” he shared.
Biney lied to his parents about renting a place when he had not rented an apartment yet. He was homeless for a week before a Nigerian lady helped her find shelter.
