Gyaasehene Fire Man, a Ghanaian based in Germany revealed that he was sent back to Ghana after completing his education in Germany and became broke for years until he returned abroad.
In an SVTV Africa interview with DJ Nyaami, Fire Man revealed that he couldn’t return to Germany for eight years and sold his musical instruments to survive, however, he was unperturbed.
“I almost became a pastor in those trying times. My mom and uncle were in Germany but none of my friends sent me even 50 euros. I had to sell my musical instruments to survive. I needed just 2000 euros to clear the deportation from my file.
I drove a taxi while homeless and rented a place two weeks later. I bought another taxi within two years. I struggled in Ghana but I had no one to support me. My family lived abroad but I felt alone,” he recounted.
Fire Man mentioned that a family friend paid his debt and eventually got a visa back to Germany in 2015.
