Netherlands-based Ghanaian and upcoming artiste, BA Boy revealed that he made over $200,000 from internet fraud (romance scam) but he wasted all of it on a flashy lifestyle and women.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, BA Boy mentioned that he left home at the age of 14 and eventually became a romance scammer. The biggest amount BA Boy made was a little over $200,000 but he recounted spending it on cars and women.
“It affected me. No amount of money was enough for me and so I couldn’t save. But I changed after I got here. I drove a Benz while in Ghana but I became homeless at a point. I had to sleep in my car. Yes, we went to ‘juju’ because the money wasn’t enough but that never worked for me.
We just drove to Legon campus to pick the girls up to the club. Meanwhile, my mom needed some of that money. Eventually, I sold the car. What we did is no different from armed robbery. I always ask for forgiveness because I could have died.”
According to BA Boy, after his sister died, some relatives and friends thought he had used his sister as a sacrifice for the money he was making but that was false.
“We didn’t want to suffer for the money. We wanted the money to come easily. I had options to work diligently for money but it would take too long to buy the Benz I wanted. Most of my friends are dead now.”
