Ghanaian based in Canada, Jewel Aboagyewaa disclosed that she will return to Ghana immediately if she finds a job that pays GHS10,000 monthly.
In an SVTV Africa interview with DJ Nyaami, Jewel mentioned that life in Canada has been tough for her and she would like to return to Ghana if she secures a good-paying job. Jewel has been in Canada for less than a year but it hasn’t been easy juggling school and work.
“I get 20 hours to work because I came as a student. How much will I save for my fees and pay rent as well? I will come to Ghana if a job will pay me GHS10,000. I won’t get that amount, that’s why we are all travelling abroad.
The ‘borgas’ didn’t tell us the truth. I thought securing a visa alone meant that I was rich. Life here is not like I expected. I’m ready to marry a Ghanaian and relocate to Ghana if I have to,” she said on Daily Hustle Worldwide.
Jewel worked as a health worker in Ghana for two years without pay after her national service. She indicated that she may not have left the country if she had been posted by the Ministry of Health.
