Former Hearts of Oaks goalkeeper, Kwame Yesu disclosed that he became homeless and slept at Durban Station for almost two weeks after his host threw him out of his house.
Kwame Yesu eventually met some Nigerian who sheltered him for a month. In his second month, they introduced their ‘job’ to him and convinced him to become a seller.
In an SVTV Africa interview with DJ Nyaami, Kwame revealed that he was thrown out of the house after refusing to sell the illegal drugs. He said, “I was scared because they knew each other and could depend on each other but I was alone.
The night they threw me out, there police was a police raid at the house. I had to carry people’s loads at the station to survive. I met a Ghanaian who helped me get a football club.”
Kwame eventually married a Ghanaian in South Africa, and they were married for a while until he relocated to the Netherlands. He said they suffered marital issues before his departure but could not resolve them.
He is currently married to his ex-girlfriend, who invited him to the Netherlands.Kwame described his separation from his ex-wife as a blessing in disguise.
