Germany-based Ghanaian Ben Zola stated that he did not travel abroad for greener pastures but for a better life and added that despite his love for his home country, he has no plans of relocating to Ghana.
Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Ben Zola indicated that he would have stayed in Ghana if not for the economy, and failing systems and infrastructure. He acknowledged the economic crisis that Ghana is facing, and added that he is not surprised that the youths travel by road to Europe.
“I didn’t go through what they went through. I got called to start my process and got here within six hours, but some spend years to get here. How can I compare myself to such a person if he decides not to go to Ghana?
I love Ghana and I visit yearly, but I have no plans of relocating. I didn’t travel abroad for the money because I could have established myself in Ghana as well. I came for a better life,” he said.
Ben Zola added that living in one’s home country is the best place to be, but he left due to the ailing systems in the country.
