After living in the US for over five decades, Mr Agyei mentioned that it would be difficult to readjust to the system in Ghana.
Despite being a retiree, Mr Agyei prefers to spend the rest of his life in the United States and has no plans of returning to Ghana to settle down. Mr Agyei has no plans to stay in the US and will not return to Ghana.
Currently, he is content with his life in the US and owns a house worth $1 million. He said, “Staying in Ghana feels like a prison for me. It is boring for us old people. My uncle has a big house in Kumasi, but he lives alone. It’s a prison with massive walls.
There are certain lifestyles that I can’t live in. The fact that the laws don’t work bothers me. I love Ghana, but I’d rather die here. I’ll only visit Ghana. You can be happy here if you want. Those who complain focus solely on work.”
