Sir Willie, a Ghanaian based in Hong Kong, disclosed that he established a business in Ghana and employed his brother as the manager, but mismanaged it and threatened to kill him after expressing his displeasure.
In an SVTV AFRICA interview with DJ Nyaami, Sir Willie indicated that he fired his brother and employed a church member to manage it, but he eventually collapsed the business.
“My brother did it to me. He mismanaged the business. I partnered with someone from my church, but he was far worse than my brother. I currently have employees who are managing the task for me, and they are honest in their work. I set up a shop and gave it to my brother. He threatened to kill me when I complained. Unknowingly, the one I met at church was the devil himself,” he noted.
When asked why he decided to settle in Hong Kong, Sir Willie stated that he saw a thriving business environment with numerous untapped opportunities that he was eager to explore. After careful consideration, he decided to stay and take full advantage of everything Hong Kong had to offer.
According to him, it is tough for African women to hustle in Hong Kong alone, and he added that most of them are students.
Sir Willie owns an African shop in Hong Kong. He mentioned the free-duty policy in Hong Kong that makes exporting from Ghana easy.
