Russia-based Ghanaian Andrews Asenso disclosed that some agents bring unsuspecting Ghanaians to Russia to fight the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
In an interview on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Andrews mentioned that some Ghanaians are also promised cash and a Russian passport in six months. He noted that eight out of ten Ghanaians recently lost their lives at war while the remaining two sustained injuries.
“I was supposed to host three Ghanaians. Immediately they arrived at the airport, they were approached and promised $2500. You’ll be trained for one month for war instead of six, and you can’t retract the signed contract. Ten people joined the army through me.
Eight of them are dead, and the two have gun wounds. The money may be a lot, but the probability of surviving is low. Most are greedy and choose to be front liners for more money. Agents are indeed bringing in people mainly for the war without their knowledge.”
Moreover, Andrews mentioned that the war is currently in his city. According to him, a child in his building died recently due to a missile attack.
“We are not safe. The war is currently in my city because there are military camps here. It began on the 15th. We’re on alert. We have to find shelter when we hear the siren,” he added.
