After three years in America, Mickey, a US-based Ghanaian, has decided to return to Ghana for good.
In a chat on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Mickey indicated that the living conditions in America are not as Africans perceive. He expressed his displeasure at the system, adding that it keeps citizens in debt. As a result, he plans on returning to Ghana permanently.
“I don’t want to stay in America forever, even though it’s only been three years. It feels like it’s been ten years already. I don’t see America as a place for me. I planned to stay permanently, but I realised Ghana is better. Immediately after you’re documented here, the institutions send you letters to get credit cards.
The system keeps you in debt. Many Ghanaians are in debt and can’t even go to Ghana. They say my credit score is bad because I don’t own a credit card. So I won’t stay for long for these things to affect me.”
Moreover, Mickey advised the Ghanaian youth to build themselves in Ghana instead of travelling abroad. He added that most overlook the numerous opportunities in Ghana due to laziness.
