Paul Akoto Agyeman, a Ghanaian based in the UK, disclosed that he worked 14 hours daily and ate once daily to pay off his £15,000 debt. Speaking on SVTV Africa with DJ Nyaami, Paul Akoto mentioned that he paid off the £15,000 debt in less than two years.

“I was determined to pay off the debt because I had promised to bring my wife from Ghana within two years. I worked tirelessly to settle that debt, and I had bills to pay as well.

“I worked at a car wash for four months and paid £1000 to clear the debt. I ate once a day because I just wanted to pay off the debt and start saving. I grew lean, but I was focused,” he said.

According to Paul, he planned to stay in the UK, but he hasn’t decided to return to Ghana in a few years because “I don’t want to be an economic slave.” Paul added that he only wants the best future for his kids, but he plans to return home to establish his business.

Mr Akoto Agyeman noted he could not earn the amount he wanted working in Ghana and needed a better future for his unborn kids.
