Patrick Ntiamoah, a young Ghanaian, is determined to cross the Mediterranean Sea from Libya to Europe and disclosed that he does not mind dying for his cause.
At the time of the interview, Patrick was in Agadez, Niger, heading to Libya. In a chat on SVTV Africa, Patrick mentioned that he decided to leave Ghana because he was jobless and start a business due to the fear of losing his investment.
According to him, he is ready to risk his life and is unbothered about where the boat lands in Europe. He said, “I’m the only Ghanaian here. No one here speaks English even. I didn’t tell my parents about this trip because they would not have allowed it. I’ve been in Niger for two days now and preparing for Libya.
I’m ready to pay any amount to cross to Europe. I’m also mentally prepared to overcome anything in Libya because I’ve heard many stories about Libya and how risky it is.”
Moreover, Patrick mentioned that he had no option but to leave because of the opportunities the youths lack in Ghana.
