UK-based Ghanaian Cobby has revealed that he spent over £15,000 in his process and flight ticket to the UK and has not regretted his decision.

Speaking on Daily Hustle Worldwide, Cobby mentioned that he worked as a Graphic designer for over a decade and was quite comfortable in Ghana but needed a change.

Cobby spent over £15,000 to travel to the UK after selling his car.  He got a study permit but disclosed that he boycotted it for a work permit to make money.

“I spent over £15,000 to get here. I knew what I could get and what I wanted. That’s why I spent it on coming here. If I got that amount in Ghana within 30 years and I’m getting it back in three years in the UK, how is that difficult?

I can save £15,000 within three years because I work in the care sector. You can make it faster depending on what you do. The setbacks are there, but someone could get that amount in a year,” he noted.

Moreover, Cobby added that there are countless opportunities in the UK, unlike Ghana. After a year in the UK, Cobby said, “I can even set up a company here after my 5-year sponsorship. That is the target.”
