UK-based Ghanaian Ama Boatemaa revealed that her baby daddy refused to accept responsibility because she did not want an abortion, however, he had to accept the child years later.

In a Daily Hustle Worldwide interview on SVTV Africa, Ama disclosed that she got pregnant in Junior High School because she came from a broken home. According to Ama Boatemaa, she dated her baby daddy, who was a worker, to survive.

“I came from a broken home. My mother would tell me to go to my father whenever I needed something, and my father did the same. At the end of the day, you have to survive. I had to do it because I needed to cater for myself.

When I told my baby daddy about the pregnancy, he said he was not ready for a child. So he took me to several hospitals to abort it, but I fled from the hospital each time. He intentionally got a transfer to another town to avoid me.”

A year after Ama gave birth, she got a hint from his friend about where her baby daddy lived. Ama Boatemaa visited his home, but he had travelled. Unknowingly, his family had been searching for Ama too.

“His mother listened to everything I had to say and gave me money. She promised to call me when he returned. A month later, I returned, and she often gave me money for the child. He was planning to travel abroad, and pastors had told him to go back and accept our child because we were crying for support.

He denied what the pastor said. That was why his mother did not hesitate to give me money when I visited her. She remembered what the pastors had told them,” she recounted.

Currently, Ama Boatemaa’s child lives with her baby daddy in Ghana.
