Collins, currently based in Ghana, revealed that his childhood friend duped him and has since blocked him across all platforms after promising to secure a job in the UK.
Collins worked in the United Arab Emirates for six years and returned to Ghana upon his friend’s request to continue his travel process. Speaking on SVTV Africa, Collins mentioned that he was charged £8000 and paid £7650, hoping to settle the rest.
“He told me to come to Ghana to write IELTS, and I passed. Later, he asked for a tuberculosis test, but the company in the UK had to give me an address for the form. That was where the problems began. My friend then told me the company had rejected my IELTS results and eventually blocked me everywhere.
I informed his father about it, and they had no idea about it. So he promised to pay me £1000 monthly, and I reluctantly agreed. He later changed his mind, and I threatened to take his son’s family to ‘juju.’ They will be a thanksgiving sacrifice,” he recounted.
Collins is currently jobless in Ghana, and cannot return to Dubai, UAE, to continue his job.
