Germany-based Ghanaian Kwame Obeng disclosed that he will return to Ghana when he saves up to €50,000 to establish a business in Ghana.
In a Daily Hustle Worldwide interview on SVTV Africa, Kwame mentioned that he is working in Germany to save enough to invest in his business in Ghana. Mr Obeng added that he would not have travelled abroad if he had enough money for a startup.
“I’m not looking for much here. I’ll return to Ghana if I save up €40,000 to €50,000. I don’t want to set high expectations that will keep me here. My focus is on my business in Ghana. I’m just here to make enough to invest in it.
I would not have travelled abroad if I had ₵100,000. I would have started a poultry farm. It’s risky to set up a business in Ghana while abroad, but I will take the risk,” he said.
Kwame advised Ghanaian youths who wish to travel abroad that “the cold should be your least problem. The system makes you work whether it rains or snow. Be prepared for the loneliness.”
